07.04.2003 I COMMENTI DI PHIL SELWAY Even Phil Selway wanted to leave his message on the official Radiohead's Message Board: "This is just a quick post. I too am disappointed that the album has already been uploaded onto the net. We don't like anybody to hear our recordings until we are completely happy with them. These mixes of the songs were still "work in progress'. As such, we wouldn't have chosen to present the album to people in this form. I feel that the recording process has been compromised for us. 04.04.2003 COLIN'S THOUGHTS "I just wanted to back up what Jonny said the other day. We're all unhappy with the wrong mixes from the wrong songs being stuck up on the net. It's like having your house done over half way through having it done up. All the attention is gratifying, but we want it when all our hard work's done and the best it can be. Until then, this is all just unhelpful noise. "Volevo solo sostenere ciò che Jonny ha detto l'altro giorno. Siamo tutti dispiaciuti dei mixes sbagliati tratti dalle canzoni sbagliate comparse in internet. E' come avere la casa riverniciata a metà mentre la si sta ancora aggiustando. Tutta questa attenzione è gratificante, ma la vogliamo quando tutto il nostro duro lavoro sarà terminato e realizzato nel miglior modo possibile. Fino ad allora, questo è solo un polverone inutile. Aspettate di vedere il lavoro finale, vero, terminato!!!!!"
04.04.2003 STANLEY DONWOOD TALKS NEW ALBUM, LEAK AND MORE Stanley Donwood made an appearance on Radiohead's Message Board and said that the official website will be updated in June. He also added that there will be a special edition Hail To The Thief: "lovely lovely double vinyl coming out." Moreover he said that lyrics of the songs will be in the in inlay booklet. Finally, regarding the leak, he said she was pissed off, but he thought that the real record will blow the stolen work completely...away."	04.04.2003 I COMMENTI DI STANLEY DONWOOD Anche Stanley ha visitato il Message Board ufficiale e ha anticipato che il sito ufficiale della band sarà aggiornato nel mese di giugno. 02.04.2003 JONNY'S THOUGHTS ABOUT THE LEAKED MP3S "So it turns out the leaked music is a stolen copy of early, unmixed edits and roughs - so we're kind of pissed off about it, to be honest. I see it like this (this is just me): there's napster-style file sharing of released music, then there's early internet distribution of what we at least consider to be a finished body of work. Then there's this - work we've not finished, being released in this sloppy way, ten weeks before the real version is even available. It doesn't even exist as a record yet..... So yes, we're annoyed - the songs are good on the recordings, which you can hear. But we worked on them after this point until we were happy with them. This is why we're pissed off - we didn't give up on them in February (which is what you're hearing) and it's just a shame that, to your ears, we did. So of course people will still download them and hear them, I can understand the temptation. It's not you lot I'm pissed off about, it's just the situation I guess. "La musica comparsa online sono copie rubate di precedenti brani che non erano neanche stati mixati e di 'bozze' - per cui siamo onestamente arrabbiati. Personalmente la vedo così: ci sono i file stile napster di musica inedita, poi c'è una precoce comparsa online di ciò che almeno consideriamo un lavoro finito. Poi c'è questo - un lavoro non finito, realizzato in modo sciatto, dieci settimane prima che la vera e definitiva versione sia disponibile. Non esiste ancora neanche come disco..... Per questo motivo, si, siamo stufi - le canzoni si sentono bene nelle registrazioni che potete ascoltare. Ma noi ci abbiamo lavorato ancora su, finchè non siamo stati soddisfatti di quanto realizzato. E' per questo che siamo incazzati - non abbiamo smesso di lavorarci su in febbraio (a questo mese risalgono gli mp3 comparsi su internet) ed è semplicemente una vergogna quello che le vostre orecchie hanno sentito. Per cui certamente la gente continuerà a scaricarle e ad ascoltarle, comprendo la tentazione. Non ce l'ho solo con voi, è solo la situazione noiosa. Diamine, è materiale rubato!"

30.03.2003 HAIL TO THE THIEF ONLINE! Radiohead's sixth album Hail to The Thief was leaked onto the Internet, prompting fans across the globe to download it. Bandmember Jonny Greenwood made an appearance on the official Radiohead Message Board, where he said he was "surprised" the record was online, months before its official June 9 release date. "Colin (Greenwood) called and said it was up, so thought I'd check," he wrote. "I feel bemused, not annoyed. I'm glad people like it, most of all. It's a little earlier than we'd expected, but there it is. Surprised, and still not used to it happening, even after all these years. I worry more that stuff we do won't get released for whatever obscure reason, and I hate the 3 month gap between finish and release. But not enough to leak it myself!" Speaking about the album title, Greenwood said they liked the title 'Hail To The Thief', which is a line on the opening song '2+2=5', in a more general way. The phrase 'Hail To The Thief' was also an anti-George W Bush slogan, coined by protesters at the end of the 2000, when controversy famously surrounded Bush's rise to office. The battle between Bush and Democrat candidate Al Gore came to a bitter end, with the result in the key state of Florida dogged by recounts, amid allegations of unfairness in the voting process. On the day of his inauguration Bush was greeted in Washington by thousands of protesters with banners, some of who shouted, 'Hail to the thief, our commander in chief'.	30.03.2003 HAIL TO THE THIEF ONLINE! Il sesto album dei Radiohead, Hail to The Thief, è comparso online e, immediatamente, tantissimi fans si sono precipitati a scaricarlo. Flemmatica la reazione della band - che non ha mai preso una posizione negativa nei confronti dello scambio di file musicali in rete. "Sono sorpreso e divertito da questa cosa", ha commentato Jonny Greenwood, "non ci siamo rimasti male, perché significa che alla gente piacciamo. Certo, l'album è comparso un po'prima di quanto pensassimo, ma va bene così. Siamo sorpresi, non ci siamo mai del tutto abituati al successo, neanche dopo tutti questi anni." Parlando del titolo del nuovo disco Johnny rivela che "Hail To The Thief" è un chiaro attacco a George Bush: "'Hail To The Thief' (saluta il ladro) è uno slogan inventato dai contestatori del presidente americano il giorno dopo la sua vittoria sull'altro candidato alla presidenza Al Gore. "Non è un'offesa, è una frase contraddittoria, come 2+2=5". "Hail To The Thief", infatti, fa parte del testo del primo brano dell'album. La frase completa che i contestatori urlavano a Bush il giorno del suo insediamento alla casa bianca era: "Hail to the thief, our commander in chief (Saluta il ladro, nostro comandante in capo)".
24.03.2003 RADIOHEAD RELEASE Radiohead will release their sixth album Hail To The Thief on Parlophone on June 9. This will be preceded by the single There There on May 26. Hail To The Thief features 14 tracks and was recorded in Oxfordshire and Los Angeles. It was produced by Nigel Godrich and Radiohead, and mixed by Nigel Godrich.	24.03.2003 IL NUOVO ALBUM Il sesto album dei Radiohead, Hail To The Thief uscirà il 9 giugno, preceduto dal singolo There There, in uscita il 26 maggio.
